Founder of Flytrap Mike Barlas is proud to share his passion with the community. While earning his MBA from UNCW, he started home-brewing in his garage and was hooked from day one.

Since opening Flytrap, Mike has been dedicated to brewing the best possible beers he can - with a focus on American and Belgian ales that are well balanced and full of flavor. Now, Mike and his growing team are excited to share this journey with fellow beer lovers.

Flytrap's story began here, at 319 Walnut Street, an old office building converted into the brewery and tap-room. Flytrap Brewing opened October, 15, 2014.

Integral to Flytrap's mission is giving back and supporting the community through partnership efforts that raise awareness and financial support for causes we stand behind. Art:

Flytrap is located in the Brooklyn Arts District. We are honored to display the work of local artists in our taproom and rotate exhibitions every two months.
